Yes the entire league became poor over the summer of 2019 because Hazard left.

No the league has been declining for a few years, you may remember Leicester with absolute crap like Wes Morgan, Danny drinkwater and Andy king winning the title.

Ahhh just just got noticed a few months ago. Let me guess, European football is also on a low because English teams filled both finals last year so it must be.

No doubt at all, but English clubs have also been poor in Europe for a few years up til last season and let's not kid ourselves here, you lost four times on route to winning that so it was hardly a CL winner for the ages was it. Not to mention beating a side your fans spent all last season telling anyone who would listen that they were garbage.

The only reason Liverpool had to best a bunch of donkeys in the final was because they’d already beaten the Champions of Portugal, Spain, France and Germany, as well as the second best team in Italy.

There was simply no one left to beat.

Cinci should be thrilled about how weak the league is. If it was as strong as previous years, wolves would be back in the second tier where they belong.

I believe on a separate thread he said that wolves wouldn’t be in their position in a stronger league. Can’t remember what thread though

I did. Much as i am delighted by how things are going for us i am fully aware that the only reason we are rubbing shoulders with Spurs, Utd and Arsenal right now and even mentioning the possibility of catching Chelsea is because all four are on their feckin Knees. Not to mention doing the double over Man City this season.

With So many of the bigger teams being on their knees this season do you think wolves could do better this year than they did last year?

Can you get to 6th?

Can you win 9 of your last 13 matches for a season with more wins than last?

23 points from the next 13 games to get a higher points total than last year? That’s like 8 wins from 13. They’ve only won 8 from 25 so they’re gonna have to pretty much double their win percentage to improve on last season.

Considering 4 of the teams who finished above you last yeR are on their knees, would it been seen as a poor season if wolves recorded less points, wins and finished lower in the league than last season?

I don't see us bettering last season at all. We basically have 14 players, it is miraculous that we are even in the top half with such a tiny squad and European competition going on.

Agree. Definitely think the team is being vastly overrated due to a couple of wins over city. Can see players being picked off during the summer and the wee premier league adventure ending soon after

No fear of our Premier League adventure ending any time soon given the plans in place and the money available via some of the richest owners in football, though it is a little frustrating with the BS handcuffs of financial fair play.

Doesn’t bode too well.

Have no fear, this is just the beginning, it won't matter long term that we over achieved in our first season. No doubt we will lose a player or two along the way but we will also bring in large sums for them which we will hopefully spend wisely. Big stadium upgrade on the way as well which will help.

Yeah both are clearly in decline. A good indicator is when they start giving awards to defenders.

tbf the other teams were pretty crap last year too bar chelsea. Wolves are now juggling europa aswell.
