On Thursday Wolves return to Europa League action when they host Espanyol in the first leg of the round of 32.
Espanyol are currently in the bottom 3 of the La Liga table having won only 4 games so far this season. Their performances in the Europa League however have been in contrast to those in La Liga. After the knockout stages Espanyol topped group H with 11 points and a goal difference of +8. Their best result during that period being a 6-0 home win against Ludogorets Razgrad.
By contrast, Wolves are currently 7th in the Premier League and pushing for another season of European football. At the end of the Europa League knockout stages Wolves finished 2nd in group K with 13 points and a goal difference of 6
As recently as last month the Barcelona club were in the spotlight over racist abuse. During a home game with Athletic Bilbao, played at the RCDE Stadium, Athletic forward Inaki Williams reported to the referee that he had been the subject of abuse by a group of Espanol fans. There was also fighting outside Espanyol's stadium before the game, which was condemned by both clubs.
For this game the home advantage is massive not least because the Espanyol players are not used to playing in England in February. A large percentage of the Wolves players are also from warm climes but have played in England for long enough now to become well used to the harsh weather conditions.

The bank's brewery tour is good value for money, so I'm told and you get 10% off in the brewery shop too.
