on yesterdays excellent away win at Villa, not without it`s scares, but Spurs missed so many chances could have had half a dozen goals or more, so were well worth their victory, all be it came from a Villa mistake, Son took his chance very well, after missing many easier chances.
Jose seems to have the team back to winning ways now, where they simply refuse to accept defeat. Capable of coming from behind to win matches in a really good trait to have. Who remembers the dire displays earlier in the season at Brighton, Colchester, and at home against Newcastle, Watford and Sheffield United, performances devoid of any kind of fluidity, hardly a chance created in any of those games. Now Spurs under Jose are creating chances for fun. Who said Jose sides were boring, they are anything but. Scoring two or three games, even without the main man, most games.
OK the defending, especially at corners, is still comical. Just cannot defend a corner to save their lives. Mostly I think due to the fact that Lloris just does not command his box as he should do. Both goals, the first one from the cross, the second from the corner, he was transfixed on his line, when he could easily come and taken both balls. It is a major problem, but it is nothing new, Spurs must have conceded dozens of goals from corners over the years. Just have to make sure they score more than they concede.
Going forward now, to the second game of the week, Leipzig on Wednesday, Spurs in the best form of the season, so I expect to be getting a two or three goal victory to take to Germany for the second leg. Confidence is growing, new players starting to bed in now. I like the way Jose is using all the new players, whether from the start or as subs.
Ndombele though where is he? Could not even get on the pitch as a sub yesterday. Very worrying considering he is Spurs record signing. I wouldn`t be surprised if Jose doesn`t try to offload him sooner rather than later, probably lose money, but he is no good if he cannot get on the pitch.
Jose Brought the pride back to our club.
Anyway all good in reality. And bring on Leipzig. COYS
Right now that the dust has settled

We being dominated by relegation candidates week in and week out. Will still give Jose till next season to sort the team out. Not expecting pretty football but I think he might get us playing a winning brand(hopefully)

When have we been dominated by relegation candidates week in week out under Jose?

Well some people are obviously easily pleased.
I’ll wait until Jose has achieved something of note. Scrapping a win against relegation fodder isn’t cutting it for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We won our 3rd away game against a team that are fighting for their lives.
José is working with a defensive mess and he's won his 3rd PL game in a row.
Had we won 0-5, you'd still be moaning
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any away win in the Prem is a great result.
Liverpool are walking the league but they were still very pleased with a hard fought 1 goal win at bottom of the table Norwich.
Anybody who doesn't get this needs to find a new hobby.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup
Liverpool, arguably the best team in Europe, struggled for large periods against rock-bottom Norwich. They managed to nick it 1-0.
We win 2-3 with 23 shots on goal against Villa won their previous 2 home games. They had beaten Leicester and Watford and recently drew away at Brighton and Leicester.
I'd take a 2-3 win all day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jose is proving his worth, in successive Prem games he has beaten the Prem Champions and now so called relegation fodder. In between he has negotiated a very tricky FA Cup tie, against a so called in form team. So is showing he can beat whatever team is put in front of him. Sizzle being Sizzle is just waiting for him to fail, whilst the rest of us embrace the improved form he has brought to our club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop talking drivel.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Constructive comment as always

Sizzle doesn`t like the truth.

Well worth your victory?
Villa should have been 2/3 up after 20 mins
Against a better team you would have got hammered, your back 5 is so so bad

And we could have won the game 8-2 as well.

but he didn't
Different ball game if Son puts his other 4 chances away.

Just going by the OP saying they missed so many chances and well worthy of the win
They weren’t imo

Spurs had 23 shots to Villas 18, they also had 10 on target to Villa`s 4, so yes they were well worth there victory. Second half it was pretty well one way traffic, and Villa scored their second well against the run of play.

NDombele was on the bench. Jose may be saving him for Wednesday against RBLeipzig.
He will be up against Upamecano.
Likewise Jose may have been saving Vertonghen for a roasting against Timo Werner.
(I cannot believe he will risk Davies in this match!)
Will be an interesting game.
