He’s a striker. Who we own. He has a pulse, and isn’t injured. He HAS to play.
I went to the game last night and it was so depressing to watch how we completely lacked any kind of focal point to relieve pressure, to build any kind of attacking move and to have any threat in the air whatsoever.
Mou seemingly thinks he’s not ready, but we need someone. Anyone. We can’t go on like this for much longer. Our lack of attacking ambition without a striker is horrific.
More generally I think Mou’s tactics are fundamentally baffling. Fair to say he’s nowhere near winning me over.

I have a feeling there is something wrong with Troy behind the scenes. He is not injured and is not training with the first team. Maybe he has gone off the rails since he signed a new contract? There are bene a few rumours too.
The hype around this kid by Spurs fans prior to him making his debut was way over the top. He is not even in Greenwood's class at Utd and Greenwood is younger.

Our bench last night was 2x CBs 2x DMs 1x CM 1x AM
Surely there’s room for a young striker to be on it.
Greenwood done okay for united & Martinelli done well for arsenal all the same age as Parrott.

Mourinho is well known for not giving younger players a chance.

How do people still read this bloke
It’s not his sources close to the club it’s in the well known media.
Troy is from the same dodgy part of Dublin that these guys are from and obviously knows them growing up.
His mate can’t really be held accountable for what his family get up to and there’s nothing to suggest he does the same.

I remember the calls for him to play against Colchester.
That ended well.

This is such a shiiite argument
The alternative back then was playing one of the best strikers in the world. Now the alternative is playing no striker at all.
But hey let's not give him any minutes at all for the rest of the season, even though he is our only striker, because of one fairly meh performance

The reason kids Parrott's age "aren't ready" is because they're not fully physically developed yet. You often get quick young players but you rarely get strong young players.
Now think about what Mourinho demands from his #9. Basically he wants a brute up top who can win aerial duels and engage in a physical battle.
I'm pretty sure that's why he's saying Parrott isn't ready - he's nowhere near ready to play as a lone striker in a Mourinho system where strength is valued over mobility and finishing ability. My understanding of Parrott is that he's pretty quick and a good finisher, but he's no target man.
Then again, nor is Lucas, so who knows.
