Arteta is building a good pension pay out for when he inevitably gets sacked.

Not seeing much energy on the sidelines. This lazy and marginally talented team needs a "kick-ass" manager. I've a feeling that the Gunners will again be searching for a new manager sooner than later!

yes but we must be patient

Been pleased with almost everything I've seen from Arteta so far, changes have been small but noticeable. Will take some time to improve to the level we want to be at and it could stall in that time, but we'll see. Only thing that does worry me is his game management, he doesn't like making early subs and they don't always seem like good changes to me.

Very early to tell could easily go either way. But I think he’ll end up being a successful manager here or elsewhere. You can tell by the way he talks, and the way he was able to get everyone onside despite his very limited experience. He’s not even a legend of the game or particularly of arsenal either so he doesn’t carry the instant air of respect due to his footballing career. My first concern was that our players wouldn’t listen to him, but so far in that sense all the signs are very positive.
But he’s got a way to go to prove himself, players could still easily turn on him if the feel good factor of a new coach wares off combined with poor results. He’ll need backing from the club though as well to be successful. With no investment it’d be hard for any manager to get this squad competing comfortably for top 4

The whole thing is built on rotten foundations. Arteta should call it a day and build a supermarket instead.

Wouldn't go that far but you're right about the rotten foundation of the team currently. And it is why this particular build will fail because either blindly/foolishly or both, built it over a giant sinkhole. A sinkhole guaranteed to collapse as well. It's downright mindboggling insanity. But hey that's fine, nothing expected this season now. So luckily we have the time to indulge this eccentric foolishness, whilst he learns that you never ever knowingly build over a sinkhole.
Or in the Arsenal team's case, you never, ever build around a SINKHOZIL! boom boom tsssh
