I was vexing after the win on Saturday.
I know I should have been over the moon. I get it.
But VAR had me seriously piśśed off. There's not a Chelsea fan in this world, let alone a Utd fan who can convince me that VAR didn't impact the outcome of the match last Monday.
And then in the very next match the person reviewing VAR massively ballsed up again. It really wound me up. Even after full time I was seething.
The problem I have with VAR is the incompetents doing the reviewing. For me the only difference between Saturday and last Monday was the incompetence didn't ultimately cost us.
Super Frank summed up my feelings on Saturday, when he said "not good enough"....."too late".
I think the man on the pitch should be doing the reviewing.
Spurs win bittersweet?

VAR is obviously going to affect the outcome of games, it's there to clear up big decisions.
VAR got the goal decisions right in our game, the Maguire one is questionable, I'd probably say it was dangerous.

slab head and lo celso should both have been sent off

Good debate on talksport earlier
Someone suggested refs have smartphone watches...to review incidents...
Apart from trying to get a good signal....there is always the monitor they could use...but no we don't want to do that it seems

Azpi goal should have counted, and Maguire should’ve been off. Giroud was the correct call.

Did not get the zouma goal correct, and maguire was a stonewall red. Infact I haven't seen anyone other than paul scholes say it shouldnt have counted.
Anyways OP, I agree, I was watching it with my mrs who knows fack all about football and she was miffed that lo celso didn't get a red. Even she could see it.
I think VAR is a joke and imo gives more scope and potential for the refs and organisations to sway decisions in the direction of the "elite".
We will never be utd or Liverpool in terms of decisions, I've got use to that fact, the howard webb games, the 3-3 game, when owen got to retake a penalty despite missing at anfield and several others (barca game etc).
For me it gives the officials more chance to go through things with a fine toothcomb and fit their agenda accordingly. You can bet your bottom dollar if that is a cfc defender on Monday night kicking out at rashford or whoever, then hes walking.
