Play Billy against Bayern?

In my view, yes.
As negative as this sounds, we're out anyway (still trying to reverse jinx a result) therefore I don't think we've got much to lose.

On top of that, we started him against the current European Champions last night (eeewww that gave me dry boak to say) and although Pool picked a weakened team, we weren't to know that was going to happen with 100% certainty.

He looks like a very talented player, who wants to attempt to take a game by the scruff of it's neck. And too many times recently usually against teams we've been expected to beat..........we have lacked that sort of player.

I don't want to get to carried away, because I remember all the hype about Josh, but this guy could be the real deal and as our 2 players for the role he played last night appear to be either injured or suspended, i think we may as well look at starting him against Everton as well. Just as long as we don't suddenly, up the expectation levels.

After all the hype this morning I just watched the highlights.

Liverpool mistakenly thought Billy would be the weak link and were hounding him when he got the ball, but he was so good in possession.

I was amazed how well he did defensively. Such a calm head and good decision-making for a player his age.

Shows you if you’re good enough you’re old enough. Breath of fresh air to see a young player being so at ease in the middle of the pitch and always running.
Great advert for future!

Side that we fielded wasn't exactly the strongest side either, second string.
Should be taken into account.

Gilmour will have to start against Bayern, due to injuries and suspension in midfield.
Even If we weren't depleted in midfield...I'd have no qualms about Gilmour starting.

Need to get Rubes back running too....I'd rather both played in something we can win though...this train has long left the station

If Liverpool played a weakened team yesterday then ours could be argued that it was weaker still.

Already missing Abraham, Hudson Odoi, Pulisic and Kante, we lost both Kovacic and Willian (leaving us only one orthodox wide player in the inconsistent Pedro).

As for Billy - I'd have no qualms about him starting v Bayern even if Jorginho and Kante were available.

We may have no choice about playing him if Kovacic doesn't recover anyway!

It could definitely be argued that the Chelsea team was the weaker one. The difference is - it was still our strongest available team.

He has qualities which the other midfield players don't have. He is calm under pressure. I would put him for the rest of the season in the team.

I like what Lampard is doing.
