Dier’s brother , who is handicapped was getting abuse from a lowlife
So you can understand why Dier got so irate..
I probably would have done the same thing in the heat of the moment..

Didn't know that - certainly outs a different perspective on things and I hope this is taken into account when the league get involved.
Thanks for sharing.

Can’t believe how many people took he’s my brother to instantly mean someone was being racist towards Gedson.
It’s mind boggling

"The final thing any Tottenham player does as he walks off the pitch is to look up at his family.
That is where the players’ relatives tend to sit, in blocks 103 and 104 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in the first tier of the West Stand, just to the left as you walk down the tunnel.
The Dier family are no different. They have been an indispensable part of Eric’s football career so far. They are why he moved to Portugal as a boy and grew up at Sporting in Lisbon. They have moved back to London with him. Yes, most players are said to be close to their families but that is especially true of Dier
This had been a bad game for Tottenham but not a particularly bad one for Dier. He started again at centre-back, his favourite position. This was his fourth start in the last six, his best run since Christmas. He played well and when it came to penalties, he put his hard and low to the keeper’s right. It was impossible not to think back to that night in Moscow 20 months ago when he hit that same penalty past David Ospina to put England into a World Cup quarter-final.
And as Dier walked towards the tunnel at 10.30pm on Wednesday night, he looked up and to his left, hoping just to wave at his younger brother Patrick before he headed to the dressing room. But that is when another fan caught Dier’s eye and subjected him to a torrent of abuse. Dier’s brother, briefly caught between the two, turned around and took exception, and was abused himself.
Dier’s family sit right at the back of that stand, just in front of the hospitality boxes. But even from the pitch, Dier could see that Patrick was visibly upset. His fraternal instincts kicked in and he sprang to his brother’s defence. Dier climbed over the advertising hoardings, through the stewards, clambering over row after row of emptying blue seats. It was unprecedented — nothing like this has happened at a major English ground for a generation — and fans cleared space for Dier. Not just to let him through, it should be said, but to get a better angle to video him.
As Dier climbed more than a dozen rows of seats, up towards his brother, the abusive fan continued to goad him while climbing up towards the exit. According to eyewitnesses, he was on his own and quickly escaped out into the concourse. When Dier reached his brother, the jacketed security stewards, unsure precisely what was happening, tried to stop the situation from escalating. That is why Dier had to shout — as everyone has now seen online — “that’s my brother!” to explain what was going on. Once the situation was under control, Dier and his brother were whisked away to the safety of the dressing room."
From the athletic. No mention of the brother being disabled.
