Why is calling out players in public wrong?

I don't really understand it. I can imagine that for some players being criticised in public would make you really angry and motivate you to do better. It would make you realise that what had worked for you up until that point wasn't enough and that you have to work harder and do better to get what you want and be successful. It would make you realise that you don't have a choice. If you don't try harder, the only other thing is to give up and you get nothing if you do that.

I can imagine as well you'd feel a lot of anger at the person who criticised you and caused all of this. What's the way to win against that person? Is it to give up and prove them right? No, it's to work harder and become better and when that person comes back to you to then be able to reject them.

We have already established that in an ideal world this wouldn't be an issue to begin with.

FFS, Maureen is nothing short of a playground bully.

He started it @ Chelsea with Costa & Hazard. He even bullied his medical staff and forced the lovely Eva out of the club.

He bullied his players @ United, with Shaw, Pogba & Rashford to name a few.

Now he's bullying players @ Spurs.

He is an egotistical сunt who will throw ANYBODY under the bus to deflect attention from his shortcomings, nasty fuсker that he is.

He didn't bully any of those people. The only debatable one is the woman but he didn't force her out of the club. he shouted at her in the heat of the moment while stressed and people used the situation to attack Mourinho instead of understanding why tensions lead to him doing what he did.

The problem calling players out in public is that the player in question will then be under an even bigger microscope. They'll then start playing it safe and that player won't be that effective in that case because they don't want to make an obvious mistake.

Look at KDB at City. He loses the ball quite often, and Pep usually hates that, but because he's trying (and often succeeding) in making things happen he's lauded as a great player.

Take Maureen's diсk out of your mouth for a moment & smell the cheese.

Hazard asked the referee called the lovely Eva onto the pitch to treat him. That is an undeniable fact.

Maureen lost the plot and had a go at both of the medical staff for going on to the pitch. Also an undeniable fact.

The lovely Eva was demoted from match day duties by Maureen causing her to quit the club. Also an undeniable fact.

That action was construed as constructive dismissal by an employment tribunal and the club was forced to pay her millions.

Since the lovely Eva left the club, things have never been the same with the team just scraping by.

She escalated the situation instead of de-escalating it. She could have privately talked to Mourinho and they could have dealt with it. Instead she turned it into a huge spectacle that clouded Chelsea's season. No sympathy at all for her.

Maureen could have handled it better by talking to her in private but he chose to ridicule her in front of a full stadium, live on TV.

HE was the one who escalated it and turned it into a huge spectacle. He was also deservedly sacked for losing the dressing room and showing the club in a bad light.

To say otherwise is tantamount to taking the side of the bully.
