about to be hit with the biggest lockdown since World War II. How will they handle it? Possibly up to a year of lockdown in my opinion. Are we up to it? Everybody`s life will be disrupted. Not just the elderly.
Football shut down, will be followed by pubs, transport, flying, holidays abroad all be off the agenda, etc, etc.
As an over 70, I am pretty philosophical, what I am told to do, I will do. I will listen to the advice, and take it very seriously. I am hearing I could be grounded for four months minimum. This virus is not going to come to an end quickly.
I had thought perhaps football may return perhaps at the beginning of next year, but I wouldn`t be surprised if it went on even longer. This virus could effectively shut down the world for anything up to a couple of years in my opinion. Normal life will take a very, very, very long while to return.
Stay safe everybody, and don`t forget to wash your hands.

As I put in my original article, that this could go on for another year, looks like it could be official news now.
Football won't be returning this year 100 per cent certain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BUGGA!!!
Are you certain?
Everything where I live is locked down ... Can't swim, can't work out in the gym, ....
at least they haven't locked down the local hills so I can still go hiking.
And do some Yoga.
Don't go to supermarket anymore ... order on-line.
Called "social distancing"!
But there is a little entertainment .... listening to that clown with the orange hair!!
What a fat-assed idiot ...much worse than Boris, who can at least read.
Got flights booked to UK in time to see end-of-season matches.
Doubt that will happen?

Ted,
When participating in this thread could you please keep the recommended 6 foot distance! This virus can be transmitted via keyboards!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah Yes ..... be careful to wash your handy pandies immediately after using anyone else's keyboard.
No shaking hands
No high fives
elbow bumps okay
and don't bother with the face masks outside of danger zones.
Let me see now ... have I forgotten anything?

Ted,
I would suggest that you always wear a face mask so that we have much less panic.

btw: Ted,
In case you don't know, they have a short high-light original version of the 1953 "Stanley Matthews" FA Cup final on the internet. You might have to search around to find it. It is a black and white (old technology), grainy version, but nonetheless, a historic moment in British Football.
Sir Stanley....Rest in peace!
