before proper wartime rationing comes in. With the daily stripping of supermarket shelves, it simply cannot carry on as it is. Some are taking everything, whilst others are getting nothing. Supermarkets seem powerless to stop shops being completely emptied out in two or three hours.
As usual Boris is one step behind, and like all the other things he has been forced to eventually do, this will be the next step on the ladder he is forced to do.
Just like asking people to stay out of pubs and clubs, they didn't take any notice, and within a week or so, everything shut. Just telling shoppers not to panic buy also ain't working, so change will come.
Expect rationing by this time next week.
It can only be a matter of time

Sandy, should I ignore the government advice and go to the shops every day?

Sandy's always right, he knows

Not always right mate. But I do seem to be usually one step in front of most.

If you're over 70 you should be banned from going to the shops at the weekends
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would be fine, if we could also ban the under 70s from going to the shops during the weekdays.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Considering there's more under 70s and more weekdays than weekend days that would be very fair sandy
Considering the seniors have their whole retired day to shop in the week...

Some people are seeming rather blase about the whole situation, going about their lives as if nothing is happening.
I`ve heard plenty of younger people saying things like "it`s only a cold" and "it will all blow over in 6 - 8 weeks", they seem totally oblivious to the seriousness of the situation.
Then you`ve got others, whose main concern seems to be whether the football season can finish or not, and are dreaming about a resumption. Who really cares about all that in this situation, whether it completes or not, this football season became meaningless long ago.

The authorities have bought themselves some time by suspending football until Apr 30th, but I think anybody with any common sense realizes that in this situation, football will not be resuming until way after that date.
There may well eventually have to be a directive from UEFA, we have to remember all the countries are at differing stages with this, it will be impossibly complicated to get this season finished, the easiest and most sensible thing to do will be to null and void and start again a fresh when possible.
For what it is worth, one of my cousins friends has spoken with 3 people from within the game recently, and all 3 of them expect the season to be eventually null and void.

Those people are telling the truth.
This season is toast.
And that Southampton owner is an idiot just trying to keep his season ticket holders hooked.
