jacko..
i dont care about the posh.. no one does really.. another season and they will have to make do on the new wage cap, that will literally finish them off and the championship will, forever be out of their grasp...
mr hoyle has worked very hard on bringing outside revenue into the club and we are streets ahead of lots of clubs in bringing in finance that added to the bums on seats revenue will mean that we should be able to attract the better players in whatever league we are in..
posh starting with 5000 bums on seats have an awfully long way to go to bring in the extra revenue..
as the league officials said, "its not just your fanbase, its how hard your club work to source extra investment and attract outside interest in the business"..(business being the operative and most important word used in football for a long, long time)...
If you spend more than you earn the sh-t will hit the fan at some point, it appears football is finally learning that lesson.(or is being made to face it)...

You are right, but we have a 24,500 capacity stadium with 10,000 empty seats every week...surely there is something that could have been done with the pricing of tickets..Is 8,000 at £20 better than 16,000 at £12 , for example...Given we have a recession on for a number of years it seems, I'm suprised DH hasn't used a bit of commercial acumen this time round. Not long ago he was selling them at £100 and that sold plenty. Once the fans are hooked then you can edge the prices up. Wonder how many we'll sell this time after the deflation of Old Trafford and the unease with the style of play.
