This is a problem with the Health Service in the UK. It has 2 main sectors: Primary Care and Secondary Care .

Secondary Care is where all the public attention and fundraising is diverted... Hospitals and medical shift workers. I am sure that the new Nightingale hospitals in London, M/C Central and Brum will have all the correct kit PPE, testing, ventilators etc. and the GVT will (rightly) let us all know about it over the next few weeks. But what they can't magic up is qualified staff to man them.

However to get to Secondary Care you have to go through all that can be done by Primary Care first; Doctor Surgery's, Health Centres and Community Care sites... and then be referred onward to either in or out patient Hospital care, on to the wait lists, but only if your symptoms escalate. We have all been there. (except in A&E circumstances).

These Primary Care areas are woefully ignored by the media but they are the real front-line. First and swift contact with the public in health matters is the most crucial. It is where you are initially diagnosed (triaged) and and course of treatment prescribed.

Not just Doctors and Nurses surgeries. Old people and care home workers are woefully unprotected from this virus, with Covid 19 cases ripping through retirement and care homes. These are the vulnerable people who we hear so much about, who are then referred to Secondary Care when their symptoms become unmanageable in home isolation. (To die many of them).

You don't see many politicians wanting to be elected hanging about outside a doctor's surgery or health centres and old folks homes. They go straight to the flag-ship hospitals in their constituencies.

This isn't 'The Plague' by a long way, that has been estimated to have killed around a quarter of the world's population, around half of Europe's population. This pandemic is bad at present, but doesn't compare with the impact of the black death

Religeon and superstition were the main enemies of progress during the Black Death. The backwards morons believed the church’s bullshiete threw cats and dogs off roofs believing they were the cause (or elements of satan). . These idiots didn’t realise the more of them around the less rats would be especially with cats, so would have actively helped cut the spread down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So who was to blame?

Was it "religion and superstition" or was it the "backwards morons"?

Logic of Islam?

Throwing people off roofs is not the logic of Islam. How can you say such a thing?

Throwing people off roofs is the logic of some imam or religious leader, not Islam.
