Taiwan donated 10 million face masks to many countries around the world.
7 million have gone to Europe of which 5.6m are for the EU’s 11 worst hit countries. 1.4m for the UK and the Swiss.
2m to the US
1m to countries that have official diplomatic relationships with Taiwan like the Vatican.

Let’s also not forget Tedros the WHO director general tried to pull the race card on Taiwan the other day, saying Taiwan are instigating attacks on him because he’s black. IMO he’s trying to shift focus on how incompetent he is.

Oh it's definitely China's fault, no disputing that. But WHO should have fact checked. During the SARs outbreak they countered China's false narrative about the virus. Politics has infiltrated the organisation so there was always going to be a level of bias towards China

They didn't say they didn't work. They said they are ineffective, which is true. Unless they have a respirator, are face fitted and changed regularly then they do not provide much protection. Hence why NHS staff wear visors as well where possible.
It is actually more effective for people who are infected to wear the masks to stop them spreading.
On a side note; when I popped to the shops last week to pick up some essentials there were quite a few people wearing masks and gloves. I saw a few people touching their faces, pulling their masks down with gloves on and even one guy go outside after shopping and vape whilst still wearing his gloves. Basically all making their PPE completely pointless. Idiots.

Them masks are given in the hope that it goes to the health authorities, god know how much they need them, they’re not for general distribution
Also I’ll point out the fact that Taiwan only has like 380 cases and 6 deaths. On an island of 23 million people, everyone goes out with a face mask. Taiwan is 80 miles off the coast of China in theory it should be the worst hit but it’s not. I’m just pointing out a few facts and don’t have scientific evidence to back it, but to the Taiwanese people and the government it god damn well works because everyone is wearing one
