Titanic’s passengers and crews are still acquainting themselves with the ship and her many public rooms and hallways when, at 1100 the ship receives the first of many ice warnings from the Empress of Britain. Another warning comes at 2000 from the French liner La Tourraine. A few hours later, at 2300 the ship’s wireless apparatus stops working. The ship’s wireless operators violate Marconi company rules by working on the repairs themselves.
