Spurs won't sell Kane to PL club

There is an article on the BBC website saying that Spurs will not sell Kane this summer and will not sell to a domestic rival. Its looking more and more likely that he is after a move. Going to be interesting to see if they can keep hold of him this summer.

No they mainly stole them from us.

Only Sunderland had the decency to to give us a preseason "friendly' (youth team mainly) for a player we had that we all know of now.

This was when when my manager was a very famous ex England international.

Finance is about connections not trickle downs at the basement (non-league) end of pyramid football.

That’s just your experience - there are many non league clubs who rely on selling their players to a team higher than them who equally rely on the same thing

For example we bought Maguire off Leicester, they bought Perez off Newcastle, in turn Newcastle bought a player off Luton. I’m sure they bought a player from beneath them. It’s all part of the same ecosystem and it’s incorrect to say that transfer fees don’t trickle down. They really do.

I doubt he's going to tell you that.

A regular non-league pyramid club. I will leave it there if you don't mind.

We won the County FA Senior Cup twice and 2 x promotions (one thwarted by FA rules for a lack of ground facility safety regulations and requirements for the move up the pyramid) and the League Cup in my 3 seasons there as Chairman of the Board. Ironically it was our main sponsor, who I secured to pay the wage bill who finally ousted us at the last AGM,

Learnt a lot I didn't know about in football then. And also how town Council politics 'works'. (if I ever hear 'it would be helpful if you were a 'freemason" again...)

The examples I’ve given you

Money trickles down. Always has, always will. Just because your particular club didn’t have £20 bills with ‘this came via a PL player sale up the line’ doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Yes it does mean that. I banked all the money. I know where it all money came from and none of it came from the FA. In fact the FA were one of our biggest expenditures. (they made us constantly upgrade the ground every year and fined us often... even for what we wrote on our programme notes sometimes. And I also had to sell a barrel of beer after every game to cover the daft expenses and sandwhiches and teas for the linos and refs who came from fricking miles away

I don't get where you are coming from here Robb. You clearly haven't a Scooby Doo about this or a basic understanding of how football clubs survive at the lower ends. Why are you persisting? Are you getting lottery funded grants mixed up with trickle down money from Premier League transfers rather bizzarly, provided by the FA?

Did you argue with your teachers when you were at school about the info they were giving you?
