Pogba > Souness

Players like Souness cannot make it in the modern game. Take away their thuggery and they're average, or above average in the case of Souness. People talk about Keane being a thug but when you look at clips of Souness, it just pales in comparison.

Souness is obsessed with Pogba because it gives his life some meaning and Pogba attracts a lot of attention. Souness enjoys the reflected attention he gets so has to keep bringing Pogba up.

Likewise Pogba would be destroyed back in souness’s day. I would swap an in prime souness for Pogba anytime, hell I’d pay as well- far, far more effective player than Pogba will ever be.

I've never got the obsession with the yer das on ja606 and fantasising about how their favourite Mark Noble-lite midfielder from the 20th century would batter Pogba in a scrap. Pogba is 6"3, is a kickboxer, moulded in the Parisian sewers, the modern athlete. Yer da's fave midfielder is a 5"9 midget who probably sank 5 pints before and after playing drunk plumbers on muddy pitches in front of semi-racist hooligans in 1986
