Why should he give up pay exactly? This is more nonsense targeting to conform with everyone else.

That is his contract and has the right to hold onto it. Why don't the billionaire owners cover for whatever shortfall they need?

And who is to say Ozil isn't using significant amounts on supporting charities and extended family members etc. I think it's stupid and people are moaning about he is on £350k he can afford to don't see the bigger picture.

Maybe Arsenal should put the players on furlough pay, max £2500 a month.

If you said Laca and Auba I could see it, but Saka

Why not Saka? He is discussing a new contract so it’s easy to see him putting wage cuts aside until it’s been resolved. It’s not like he’s on big money right now

Ozil has donated a lot of money over the years to charities though, but considering how much he is on he should accept the wage cut.

i) Because Ozil has already said the younger players have agreed.

ii) Saka's big contract will his next one. 12.5% wage cut of his present contract will be smaller than his signing on bonus.

My bet:

Ozil, Xhaka, Kola are the 3. They are friends and have little interest in staying at Arsenal.

Auba and Laca are worth a lot of money and if they want to go to Spain they have to show humility now. Spain is in a worse place than us.
