How does a season restart?

Even behind closed doors, you are looking at 22 players, 12 subs, 2 managers, probably 6 coaches, 4 refs, say 2 higher FA Officials, 6 physios and medical staff, plus the need for full medical / emergency staff & vehicles. Ground staff some stewards. SO maybe 50 or 60 people, ignoring those needed if it is televised + other media.

If we are in a state of lockdown, maybe slightly relaxed by then, but social distancing will be enforced for a while longer, how can breaking these regulations be justified.

Are the human rights of players / those involved being ignored if effectively being forced to break guidelines to play a football match?

I want the season to start ASAP and it will obvs be behind closed doors initially and that makes it sound easy but this is a contact sport. If Harry Kane said, i have a young baby i dont want to take this risk (which he would be within his rights to) then Spurs would object to restarting under these conditions.

If social distancing is, as some say, going to be in place for months to come, when & how will the season restart / 20/21 season begin?

Surely it has to be in line whatever the general public are being told what to do.

Looks like Italy are getting ahead of the problem now. Too bad for 4zah. RIP Napoli.

Everyone’s forgot about the people sterilising the pitch and balls:

Rafa Ramos, president of the association of Spanish football club doctors, has said that footballs and playing surfaces will have to be sterilised if matches are to resume.

“All the material, even the pitches, will have to be sterilised before a match, at half-time and afterwards,” Ramos told El Pais. “It’s possible to be infected by the ball, but when you are struck by a sterilised ball it’s very hard to get infected.”

This plan is a bit ambitious, I'll give you that.
