So when does anybody expect

that crowds will again be allowed inside football grounds? Lockdown may be eased off slightly over the coming months, but I really don`t see any large crowds, at sporting events, ever be allowed to assemble until a vaccine comes out, and the threat of catching this virus is reduced to zero or at least be under control like a normal flu sympton may be.

Could be a couple of years before we all get to assemble once again at WHL, or am I being over-dramatic. Given that even after lockdown will life really be returning to normal quickly. Obviously coming from London, when I go up town I see the daily squeezes to get onto the underground trains, how will that pan out if say people are allowed back to work. Usually, during rush hour, even a delay of one or two minutes on the underground, and the platform fills up to capacity, so how will they safely say be able to run the tube? What about holidays, people flying to destinations, will they allow full planes out? It really is going to be difficult to see how normal life can resume quickly anytime soon.

I fully expect to be wearing a mask for a very long time yet, when I venture out, or enter any public transport.

Anyway at least Johnson is back now, so what could possibly go wrong?

Stay safe everyone, and keep up the spirits, everything comes to an end at some point.

Could not give a toss when football returns honestly seems all irrelevant at the moment, but of course these money grabbers will want there pound of flesh sooner rather than later, said at the start of this that London should have been locked down completely, still not happened would have saved many lives

Football is a business and its not just the players and the owners, who probably total abou 50 staff. Spurs employ something like 3500 people at the new WHL, there are associated business such as TV / Radio & catering. Hundreds of local jobs and pubs fried chicken shops etc who all depend on football taking place, fans coming and spending their money.

People love to single out football as some sort of evil but its just business and like ANY business, this lock down cannot go on too long otherwise the viability of many businesses will be at risk.

This fact is lost to most of this site.

Ultimately most people are just giving opinion that suits their club while at the same time accusing others of doing just that.

It's a personal opinion with me, couldnt give a toss

Football fan who hates football Think you need to find a new hobby/passion/interest

Hardly think he is saying he hates football. Simply that he just doesn’t care much for it at the minute - due to a global crisis with many losing people they know or loved ones. Still football forum seems hardly to place to be spending time atm if that is the case.

If footie restarts behind closed doors has anybody considered what an advantage it will be for Arsenal, City and West Ham who play infront of swathes of empty seats at almost every home game?

The real losers will be those who fill their stadium generate a decent atmosphere like Spurs and Palace.

Not at all, just think there are much more important considerations to think about at the moment, worrying when football starts is way down the back of the queue

OP-

Would be surprised personally if we see fans allowed back into stadiums before the end of next season.

Best case scenario we see a vaccine around the new year and then a further 3-6 months for it to be rolled out to the public I reckon.
