Still fa nny ing around

OK the next moves are on Monday and delayed on Boris,s instructions or suggestions.

On Scotland's decision to increase lockdown for another three weeks, we surely will be following?

It is no use trying to play football at the moment it is totally against all the rules in place for the rest of the country/population.

If they want to finish this season then make a decision and scrap next year altogether and finish this one in the longest time available.

If not jack this season in and promote three from all available leagues no relegation but increase those going down in the future.

Forget Europe competitions along with the FA Cup League cup and johnstone paints etc etc and play league only for a while.

I do think this is an opportunity to level football out a bit. don.t let football rely on tv money, get it back on BBC/ITV so we can all see it,

The price of this simply, cull the idiotic wages paid to players and the cost of watching.

The country is almost on its knees pls think about the whole picture instead of the privileged few.

You think the financial problems clubs are facing will lead to put prices of tickets down and go to free to air TV channels for a lot less money??

I think they may have to

I can see in the short term a lot of pay per view as an option As no fan can attend, many will be keen to watch it from home. If Every game was televised, pay per view for say £5, TV companies would get their games and advertisiing revenue, clubs would get a cut of the pay per view. No one would be better off than they are now but it gets money back in to the system.

How the lower leagues who rely on gate money so much more and cannot expect games to be televised will get money back into the game is unsure. May be the top league wuill have to dig deep and share the wealth.

Lets face it though, this will not level the playing field. It will do the opposite. It has the potential to kill off a lot of the smaller & badly run clubs

Yeah I think it will start up middle of June as planned, with reports some restrictions are being lifted over the next few weeks.

I don't see that happening in the PL as there had already been negotiations in place regarding free TV games. It seems a good option for lower league clubs to at least get some money back into the club.

The simplest and to me fairest option is void the season.

Teams are condemned to relegation at the end of a season, not before. Teams win promotion at the end of a season, not before. If you don't reach the end of the season you cannot fairly have relegation and promotion. And 9/10 matches or more is plenty time to change the tables.

It looks like a gain for those currently at the bottom of the table but they could well move up the table anyway, particularly this year where the bottom 6 have stuck together for a long time. It looks like hard cheese top of the Championship and other leagues, but the fact is they haven't yet earned promotion.

All the other possibilities make a poor situation a lot worse. Start next season anew.
