Most Underrated Last 20 Years

The most underrated player since the year 2000 to have played in England's top flight.

My pick?

John O'Shea.

Yours?

I don't think he was underrated. Great player.

Lukaku. How often do you see a player score 25 league goals for a team that finishes 7th. Incredible season/achievement that is never acclaimed, his whole career he’s clearly shown he’s a good striker. The lack of respect he gets is almost like a suspense of reality.

Agree, he's a good player who guarantees goals. Conte will turn him into a monster at Inter.

Fabianski

Always at the top end of fantasy football points (most saves etc)

Leighton Baines. At his peak the man matched Robertson/TAA assist outputs (11 at his best), alas he came at a time the attack full back was less appreciated/recognised and also care at a time a certain Ashley Cole was always ahead of him for reputation, England teams and PFA player of the years.

An insane international record

-Nigel De Jong: Known for that karate kick, but he's one of the best defensive midfielders of the past 15 years and one of the very early City pillars after the takeover. With his equally hated partner Van Bommel held up a frail Dutch defense up untill the WC final.
-Edin Dzeko: last of the dying breed of strikers with a pure killer instinct. Still had functional technique decent speed and a canon of a shot while being a beast in the air and had decent speed. Very similar to C. Ronaldo in the last phase of his career minus the free-kicks
-Juan Cuadrado: played mostly as a winger at Chelsea I believe and failed miserably. But he was incredible at Fiorentina before that dominating the right flank as a second coming of Dani Alves (I wanted Barca to get him first). Redeemed himself at Juve with loads of titles and cups.
-Olivier Giroud: yes, there, I said it! Not very prolific, but he was very good as a link-up player. Would have thrived with players like Salah, Mane, Robben, Lampard around him and not being harshly shot down because of his lack of goals like Firminho is starting to get some credits now.
