To try and change things up and make things a bit more light hearted, what do you think football will be like in the future, say 100 year's time?
Will there be a global/eurooean super league?
Will there be cyborg/ machine enhanced players?
Will transfer fees continue to rise?
Will players play longer or will peak career time shorten?
Will Daniel Levy spend money again?
I can see there being a bubble that burst's at some point. If Al the teams survive I'm not sure. Football will evolve though ins some shape or form. Some will say footballs dead just as my grandad currently says to me whilst others love it. Prob them pesky kids...
Now everyone prob laughed at the cyborg part right?
I'm convinced after seeing the current obsessed fortnite generation that the nastalgia around football will almost certainly start to wither in the next 50:years... most kids nowadays are like Bill Gates by age 9 on a computer.
Kinda sad. Kinda scary. We're all arguing over no crowds killing the game when the reality looks like robot wars football, with Craig Charles head in a jar commentating, is the future. Do we blame China or 5g?
Thoughts?
Football in 100 years time?

No but if you have the technology to re-engineer the body beyond its natural capabilities it would. And doping is a very basic form of that which is not accepted in sport.

But I’m not saying doping doesn’t happen. Just that by and large it’s not accepted in sport. Regarding technology I think the same rules apply. Sport’s popularity is based on a very basic, human attitude. If you take the human element out of it you lose what gives it it’s mystique. So while technology advances I think it’ll still be pretty redundant in sport as I don’t see that basic human element in the population being eroded in 100 years.

I think that in 100 years time technology and society will have advanced sufficiently to not bother with a messy game, and instead give us a statistical model that GOATs like IBM will use to run simulations and decide a winner. Set to 99.999% accuracy so we still have some fun!
Seriously, it seems like the impacts of overpopulation will lead to other global emergencies on a more regular basis. The next one could see a European super league form for the rich clubs so that they have someone to play against.
In reality, probably not much will change. Certainly not in England. Though the league cup will be sponsored by Coca Cola again, and everything will be right in the world.

Will there be a global/eurooean super league? Most likely outcome
Will there be cyborg/ machine enhanced players? I think either certain bans on certain PEDs might be lifted or PEDs will be modified to the extent that they work around those bans
Will transfer fees continue to rise? Obviously because inflation. Although if players are smart, they'll move as free agents more often.
Will players play longer or will peak career time shorten? Definitely play longer.
Will Daniel Levy spend money again? ...No.

I’m patenting a go go gadget goalkeeper, who’s arms and legs can extend 30 ft.
Looking forward to Man Utd with this new goalkeeper and another patent, a hybrid ape man (I call this Rooney) winning the title without conceding any goals.

Oh, and wakanda will be the first African nation to win the World Cup. Following on from trump getting re-elected in 2020, most of America will devolve into potato people with the exception of New York and California where the likes of forza will face a daily battle against the potatoes who will be armed with ar17 assault rifles and name themselves the republic of NRA coming against them. Threatening them with a peeler will not be enough, but mashers will be in short supply.

Will there be a time when managers are replaced by AI?
Seems daft but in an age of data and analysis it doesn't actually seem so mad.
