Look if you wanna play the" forward who's not a striker and not a winger" game you have to actually understand what it is.
for example, it is very clear that Gaurdiola doesn't play "wide forwards" City play very differently to liverpool.
Guardiola wants his wingers to be actually wide. he has the full backs play as almost CMs and he pushes players like be bruyne forward to be creative.
LFC is compeltely the opposite. The full backs are high and wide and the wider of the front 3 are really free roles who only defend wide. Every time you know klopp's under pressure he pulls mane wide right and kills the player. absolutely kills his effectiveness.
So you can't be wide and crossing if you are a wide forward.
you can't be a no 10 type role either thats obviously a no 10.
You can't be a striker either.
So Its very clear to me that a right midfielder aka david beckham shouldn't be on the list at all.
Then john barnes played left win or midfield for us so shouldn't be on that list either. He was there to go wide not play into the middle. In 1988 liveprool had him and houghton wide and rush/aldo with beardsley in behind as a no 10.
you can keep going like this through most of that list TBH

Any list that doesn't have Ronaldo at the top is stupid
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ronaldo's goat status came at Real Madrid not Man Utd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He won a ballon d’or whilst playing for United. Diamond is right; he’s top of the PL list or the list is worthless.

Ronaldo is top for now but Salah is likely to overtake him.

Hazard is and has never been a wide forward

Surely a "wide forward" is an attacking player who plays off the wing. A winger, inverted winger, wide playmaker, or whatever are all wide forwards. Just as Thierry Henry, on paper a central striker at Arsenal, was also a wide forward as he did much of his work out wide.
"Wide forward" is a pretty loose term.
