π The season before Jurgen Klopp took over at Liverpool, we finished:
β 25 points behind Chelsea
β 17 points behind Man City
β 13 points behind Arsenal
β 8 points behind Man United
β 2 points behind Tottenham
β
π Now, after nearly 5 years under Jurgen Klopp, weβre currently:
β
34 points ahead of Chelsea
β
25 points ahead of Man City
β
42 points ahead of Arsenal
β
37 points ahead of Man United
β
41 points ahead of Tottenham
What a manager. Certainly the best right now and most definitely one of the best ever once he has hung up his cap.

dont forget VAR
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely. Now we have a more accurate and fair system and so this is the most legitimate that the table has ever been
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fans who like var are the kind of joyless sadists who like admin and the Toby Maguire Spider-Man trilogy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate VAR.
The Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy is the quintessential Spider-Man trilogy.
Stan Lee himself agreed. The last one was poor.

You're delusional if you don't think the league was stronger 10 years ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10 years ago, 85 points would have won you the league. Last season that would have only gotten you 3rd...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So it was clearly harder to win last season's league than 10 years ago. Unless you think getting fewer points is harder.

Such logic

Great rebuttal... presumably then you are of the logic that it is harder to get 85 points than 97 points?

I'm of the opinion that point totals mean furrrk all if you're comparing teams from different seasons.

You are also banging in about the league being tougher in the past yet a year ago you were saying...

No because like I've said many times, the current top 6 are better than any team back then aside from man utd themselves. The league is clearly much more stronger and competitive now. Can you really say West Ham in 5th that year would beat the current 5th place Arsenal for example? And this Man City team are closer to that Barcelona team than the treble winners were, that's for sure.
