"The Premier League side have told Hearts, who had taken goalkeeper Joel Pereira, Bolton Wanderers, who had borrowed midfielder Ethan Hamilton, and Burton Albion, who had brought in keeper Kieran O'Hara, that monies owed will not be called in.
United insiders said they felt it unfair to increase the financial pressure on smaller clubs already reeling from the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on the game. Instead, they will swallow a six-figure loss."
Not a huge amount from our point of view but still a good gesture... Clubs been doing lots of things right during this pandemic

A pr stunt by the Glaziers after differing debt payments but still taking a £10 million dividend?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As much as i hate them... The dividend was paid out in January... before the pandemic and loss of income
You're kinda sad to snipe on a story of something positive

SEGA are incredibly disreputable. If you have a problem with United suing them for infringement it’s because you have no idea about SEGA’s murky history.

As well they should sue and protect their IP. If football manger want make money from Uniteds likeness then they should pay for it. If it was a not for profit company then fair enough, you could argue that united should give them a pass. But even then they should sill ask to use the logo without cost because United would still want approve the use and ensure consistent branding.

Great gesture by United. Yes, they can afford to do it.
But before people snipe at it let's see how many other clubs are prepared to do the same. When you have climbed to the top of the ladder, you don't kick it away, you help the others on the bottom rungs to get up a bit further.

Snipe? It's a forum. I'm being devil's advocate as someone said they are all about PR.
Differ the debt, take 10 million then waive a few hundred grand.... would be a shrewd move for a company that values their image when all eyes are on them.
I also apologise if being topical and asking questions gets you upset. Cheer up or maybe think if posting on reddit

What do you mean they differed the debt?
I don’t think it’s that big a pr move, especially regarding our fans’ attitude towards their financing of the club.
I think there’s just a bit of fair play here. And it’s good to be on good terms with lower league clubs for when we want to loan out players or pick up a promising youth.

"I'm being devil's advocate as someone said they are all about PR."
You could probably say this about any nice gesture that any business makes.
As far as I'm concerned, it's only a meaningful and purposeful gesture if it costs you money or time.
United have done well here and throughout the crisis, and I'd like to think that much of that is due to people wanting to do the right thing.
Rashford also.
