Bad result last night but wouldn't worry Sunderland have a very decent squad and with so many new faces it takes time to gel. Just wondering how big Nick is getting on? I hope he bangs in a few goals as he is talented but wasted at Arsenal on the wing! Also hearing rumours Bruce might be getting the bullet?

If this isn't the perfect advert for not making too many additions to a squad at any one time, i dont know what is.
Although according to Bruce, this is the best Sunderland squad he's had.

Thing is he did buy well! The likes of O'Shea and Brown are proven quality! On paper they should be doing well but losing their two main strikers messed the squad up! It's definitely a better squad than Newcastle(hate them). Still I expect Arsenal and Sunderland to improve greatly over the season!

I miss BBC 606,

========================
Proven Prem quality but not proven to be the best in their position. And thats the problem. I bet if you put Darren Fletcher in most teams, he would also look very average. Put him in a team of talented individuals & they compliment him. I'm not saying Fletcher is poor, he just wouldnt shine in another team, as the Scotland national team proves.
Put Brown &/or O'shea next to Rio, or in a defence with Rio, Vidic & Evra & you're going to look good.
With the greatest of respect, you have to ask yourself, if O'shea & Brown are that good, why didn't Arsenal, Spurs or another club desperate for a CB come in for them, they were hardly pricey were they?

They were bought to improve Sunderland's squad, which they have done but may not have done so at Arsenal or 'Spurs
As ' I miss BBC 606' says in his last post, we, and Arsenal, will probably improve quite a bit

What's wrong with ol' Newcastle?

They look like skunks and their supporters wear black & white even when they're not going to a funeral . . . . now that's morbid
