Quick, bring back football... The great...

Unwashed are starting to think!!!

In ancient Rome the gladiators in the great Colosseums were packed to the rafters and was considered a great way for the leaders of Rome to keep control of their society.

Fast forward a few thousand years and we have Hollywood, live sports events and so much more to keep us distracted with what ever little energy we have left after working.

In the world recently we've see so much unrest, and movement. My question is , how much of a role do you think a lack of live sports have played and do you think that people will become distracted once again when the premier league and other live sporting events resume?

Sports are simply a modern version of medieval inter-tribal wars.
Yeah.... in the old days we'd simply go over to the neighboring village and shoot at them with spears and bows&arrows. And then maybe chop their heads off with axes.
Today we have our army bang footballs into their army's net, and go home satisfied,....or not as the case may be.

Yes, we need distractions.

Lockdown had a big part to play in the explosion of protests and riots. Included in that, of course, was a lack of sport.
