Who is the ultimate loser in football?

Which manager or player has lost the most in football? And I don't mean in terms of who has lost the most number of games, I mean who has lost the biggest games or who has lost in biggest moments or in the worst ways?

I think it may actually be Steven Gerrard. Look at this:
(1) He never won a league title.
(2) Every England team he played in in international tournaments flopped.
(3) The slip
(4) As manager of rangers he still can't win the league
(5) Lost 6-1 to Stoke in his final game as a Liverpool player
(6) Got sent off after like 2 minutes in his final game against Manchester United, Liverpool's greatest rivals
(7) Multiple backpass assists to opposing players
(8) Missed a penalty in a World Cup Quarter final that his team lost

Are there more? There might be, idk.

Can you think of any other player or manager who has taken brutal Ls time and time again like Gerrard? Who do you think is the biggest loser in football?

Ferguson did go a bit strange around 2003 to 2006, signing Djemba-Djemba and Bellion, playing Smith in midfield, saying things like that about Gerrard. Probably why we didn’t win the league in that period. Came to his senses though and got us back on track.

Yeah, my post was kind of in reference to that comment. Not sure why you posted it again.

.....

Because it’s funny.

That slip will forever haunt him. 🤣🤣

Gerrard did win an FA Cup final pretty much on his own, in his defence.
Not that it means much, but the best player I've seen live.

Liverpool winning the league soon after he retires further rubs it in for him. I mean Henderson will have a Liverpool title but he won't.

Avram Grant is a bit of a loser too. Went to a Chelsea team used to winning and lost his 2 finals there. He even lost to us FFS! Finished in second place in the league as well. Then went to Portsmouth and lost the FA Cup final. Then got West Ham relegated.
