Defensive managers killing

Football.

Too higher % of managers in top two divisions, just playing the percentages and hoping to score first.

Barely developing any players in the meantime and in the long run doesn’t help the club.

We’ve ended up with garbage game after game.

Actually think football has done a great job in getting the game back on, and no fans as spectacle Not bad bad as I thought it would be.

But after been excited about the return, the poor games have just turned me off and I’ve stopped watching.

You don't take a knife to a gunfight.

Some managers have to do with the best they have at their disposal.

If you don't have the quality the opposition have then you don't go toe to toe,you play the game that might get you the desired result.

Maybe my memory isn't correct, but I've not seen us play one team this season and thought 'good side them'

All being awful and if Bielsa had a few real quality high goal scorers, I think we'd be promoted by now.

Actually, I like the fact that other managers have to play like this, Simeone and his dark arts springs to mind. love the 'battle' of wits.

think football would be pretty boring if everybody just played the same game, pep / Bielsa style.. I remember watching a barca match years ago, most boring watch of my life watching them pass amungst themselves for 90 mins.

the variety of 'tactics' to win a game of football is excellent, and which is why football isn't predictable for me

I remember watch Jose's inter beat Barca in a CL semi.. was so interesting to see how Jose closed the spaces down, not allowing them space in and around the box. then hit them on the break using width. Masterclass.

Of course I love to see the high press intense football too. I just love to see the meeting of minds and tactics etc.

-----------

totally agree Harroagte about if Beilsa had a top goal scorer.

but disagree about 'awful sides', think there are some decent sides but we've become so used to Bielsa ball that we've been spoilt, we've fogotten whats its like to have to play the dark arts.

even running to a corner flag when 1 - 0 in the 90th minute we don't seem to do - we're geared up to go for the 2nd. Which is great and exciting, but if we played a bit more hoofball (and I don't want us too at all) love the way we play, but we wouldn't of conceeded two goals last weekend for a start.

love our style, don't get me wrong, but lets not think that teams can;t be good teams if they don't play the game we do

Maybe I'm mistaken but Bielsa's teams have never been high scoring teams!..

He's had the same problem just about everywhere he's been!..

I think the striker issue is more complicated than Bamford missing chance after chance. Fact is, we dominated without looking dangerous. How many corners did we get? How many times were we gathered around the box with no-one willing to take a shot? We missed Pablo, obviously, but when they were in our half, we looked fragile. Bamford at fault? Yes. But what about Lord Costa lot who has scored just three goals so far? Where was Klich? Did Harrison send in one decent cross? And most disappointing of all for me, Tyler Roberts. He was looking great before the lockdown, but against Cardiff, he was lightweight. There was no inventiveness and no willingness to take charge and smack the ball into the net. We need a Championship striker. Billy Sharp would have been better than Agustin. We could have had Grabban on a free two seasons back, or Nahki Wells at the start of this...but we take these exotic longshot punts on players who cost a fortune and deliver fLlck all. Does the problem lie with Bielsa or Orta or Radz? I don't think we can just lay it on the players. It's been going on since Bielsa arrived and is getting worse. I think our 7 point lead will be enough to get us there, but only just. As for next season...???

I have said it before about Roberts

Great talent, but always take 6 weeks to get match sharp, after a lay off

Our lack of goals is all about shooting on site.
Watch Liverpool, lots of goals from outside box.
We are lovely to watch but we literally try and pass the ball into the net.
Sometimes you just need to spank it in.
Wish we had Yeboah or JFH up front!
