Bruno: “Paul [Pogba] is the guy who came when I arrived with a big book and said “where do you want to live, what price you want to pay, house or apartment", and flicked through the pages. I chose three places and he said okay tomorrow we will check them. I decided next day - then I did the tests, then power tests, the next day I was with the team training and the next day I was playing against Wolves. And that day I went back to Portugal and when I arrived back I had the house. Adaptation in Manchester was really fast I couldn’t imagine it would be fast like this because I lived in other countries and every time it was a problem to find a house and everything."

You’ve been slaying Pogba since day 1
.....
This is a lie.
Before we bought him yes. Since then I have only criticized him for his laziness on the field and the fee we paid for him which wasn’t his fault.
I have quite warmed to the guy when it comes to the talent he has.
And not once, which was the topic here, have I suggested he is faking injury, which the pr/ck comment is aimed at.
You can apologise now.

I think Pogba is a great teammate to have around
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By all accounts he's a great guy and very popular. Which makes his hints all the more frustrating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As far as I can recall he personally has dropped one hint - in 4 years - that he might want to leave. How much of his gobsh!te agent's comments we can blame the player for, none of us really know.
But I do love the narrative from some on here - pogba wants to leave, he's desperate to leave, he says it all the time. Pogba's staying? Oh, well that's only because no one wants to cough up for him, he doesn't really want to stay, obviously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pogba's agent is just his mouthpiece. Of course he wanted/wants a move. If he wanted to Pogba could just tell Rialoa to keep his gob shut or switch agents. If we can make a couple more decent signings in the summer though he might think that he was a chance of winning the pl at united and be happy to stay. I don't think anyone is willing to pay what it would take to buy him.

Nah pogba agent is independent in what he says. Some agents do a lot of talking. A lot of what raiola has said hasn’t been to any ones gain and doesn’t make any other team that more interested in him. Raiola is there to make pogba money and himself money. That’s it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t be naive. He doesn’t just randomly come out with things, he’s working for his client. And I agree no one wants Pogba so he will end up being offered an unwarranted huge pay rise.

kfc's quotes earlier in this thread were interesting, and should be required reading for anyone claiming that an agent is nothing but the player's mouthpiece.
and the economics of it all gives you a clue as to why raiola does this. he is rumoured to have made £40m - £40m! - out of pogba's move to united. if pogba stays at united and collects his wages, raiola presumably takes a standard agent's cut - 10/15% - which would work out, on wages of £300k a week, at less than £2.5m a year.
in other words, whilst he makes a very good living out of pogba staying at united, the real money is in moving him on, again. so it's very much in the agent's interests to sh!t stir, this would be why haaland goes to dortmund with a release clause that can be triggered in 18 months' time, and this also explains why previous raiola clients - lukaku, zlatan, mkhi - didn't hang around for long.
personally i try to ignore the whinings of agents, and focus on the player, and the day he refuses to train, or goes awol, or is dropped because "his head's not in the right place" - as DDG was, though apparently he is allowed to change his mind - is the day i agree that pogba is desperate to leave.

The one thing that is always overlooked is, if, and I don’t believe it’s the case that riola just randomly stirs up comments, then all Pogba has to do is tell him to shut up. Yet....
Don is quite right about riola earning a hell of a lot of money from Pogba, but he does still work for Pogba, perhaps influences him somewhat, but all Pogba has to do is tell him to button it, but seemingly he does not..

pogba changing agent would be a big boost, but i guess he makes his clients a lot of money. seems to have gone a little quieter recently.
but the club is in an awkward position, i have seen suggestions that they don't want to deal with raiola any more, but we have to, because he manages one of our key players (and lingard i think, though no one cares about him).

Yeah that’s a tricky one. You can see why players get riola as he brings them huge packages, seems very good at doing that, and the club don’t want to deal with him (rightly so) but still have to negotiate with him on players they already have.
