Hello after many months of the uncertainty on whether the World Championship was going to happen this year or not, it will be going ahead. It will run from Friday 31st July 2020 until Sunday 16th August 2020. The whole tournament will be televised on BBC and Eurosport. First round matches are best of 19, last 16 and Quarter finals are best of 25, semi finals are best of 33 and the final is best of 35

Maguire said he shouldn’t have entered. This is what happens when you have 3 back to back events. Also, Judd wins NI, then UK Final and could have played today. Luckily someone saw sense.

Yep all in Milton Keynes. The Masters in January supposed to be played in Alexander Palace in London though hopefully.

Yes I think all the events are in the same place, but I think mentally it's quite tough to play 3 events back to back, especially when the middle one is a major.
Could you imagine Federer/Nadal/Djokovic playing an event the day after a big grand slam?

Doesn’t that devalue the competitions? All bar a different draw and frames per round (I’m assuming, I don’t keep up with the minor events) it’s pretty much the same?

Agreed, hopefully next year things will get back to normal but yes last night’s final (though dramatic) didn’t feel like a big final, maybe it was due to no crowd but the same venue didn’t help either.
