The crowd factor

The crowd was... amazing! Nice, smiling faces all day long, didn't bat an eyelid under pressure, kept the singing up for the whole game.
Is this the reason Bamford's finish was so composed? Did they take the pressure off the lads when Fulham were on top? Did they give Bielsa the courage to make bold substitutions at half-time?
This time last season, the ER crowd was so deafening and fierce, it was almost beyond human. You could feel all the pent-up frustration of years in the doldrums and the fear of yet another glorious failure. Pontus loved it, but at what cost? Kiko, Bera and Coops made crucial mistakes in games we were dominating. We were cast iron favourites to get promoted and we blew it.
Yesterday, although we were not at our best, we played without fear and made better decisions all round. Just a thought, but Covid 19 might be the decisive factor in LUFC finally getting back to the Premier League.

Think we'd have made it with a crowd, think we'll make it without without a crowd.

I'm sure I saw some stewards in the aisles but I couldn't tell if they were real or cardboard. Perhaps they could add some cardboard police for the next game.

The missing crowd should help players like Bamford.

I think it helps. It takes the pressure off the game, less distractions.

I still think we would have made it with the crowd there. We won 5 in 5 before this, players have looked very determined this season
