I heard Martin Tyler talking about your PL title presentation during last night's game. Clearly this will be a huge moment in your history as it will be the first time a Liverpool team has lifted the post 1992 league trophy. For me though, there are some very real issues that need to be looked at. Even as die hard Liverpool fans, do you not slightly think it could be a bad idea to lift it so soon?
Look at what happened a week ago when thousands of LFC fans flocked to Anfield and the city centre to celebrate during the pandemic. For the moment when you actually lift the trophy, I imagine these numbers will only increase tenfold. Please don't misconstrue what I am saying here: this is not a dig at Liverpool fans. It would be the same regardless of which team won the title and good on you all for celebrating, as you deserve it.
Logistically, though, this will be a nightmare for your city and even your players. The supporters will congregate outside Anfield well after the final whistle and into the night, players won't be able to get to their cars to leave due to how many people there are and police won't be able to control the crowds.
For me there are two options
1) Just let the fans into Anfield to celebrate, they will all be outside regardless so what difference does it really make?
2) Delay the presentation for 6 weeks and if the pandemic eases up even more, then let the fans into the stadium to celebrate and watch the coronation. Any fan who attends the stadium must then self isolate for a week, which would be policed by a government tracking app on said fan's phone.
3) Null and void the league. Just kidding.

Interestingly, Martin Tyler made a backhanded comment last night to Neville. Did anyone else hear it?? Something like 'I suspect, Gary, that there are conversations taking place behind the scenes that we don't know about and fans could be back inside stadiums sooner rather than later'.
