Premier league quality yes but I dont see much difference between himself and the likes of Ohara.

Might make a good squad player

Don't be fatuous; Suggesting he take Scholes role in the team is in no way comparing him to Scholes.
I don't doubt you would have scoffed at the idea Scholes would ever be described as "the best MF of his generation" when he was at the same stage as Cleverly is now.
Cleverly is a very good footballer, and the only one at OT with the potential to emulate Scholes - SAF actually wasn't letting him go on loan at the start of last season, but changed his mind. He is one of the most exciting prospects at the club.

Not to diss liverpools new 20 million quid man, Tom is better and costs nothing !

Don't see why we shouldn't give him a chance. If he impresses from coming off the bench then why not. Was very impressed with him last season at Wigan, looks liek a top passer of the ball. Eagerly anticipating the new season already :O
