Amazing win does not gloss over fact that

Yet again the officials nearly shafted us. That inhuman save from Emi in 96th minute prevented it being the 4th time a player who should have been sent off scored a goal that took points off us

Jorginho https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/jorginho-red-card-referee-arsenal-chelsea-premier-league-a4323116.html

Vardy https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.goal.com/en/amp/news/i-was-absolutely-gobsmacked-vardys-red-card-escape-against/dplnzgp0ier1xtqh1ofgmzp8

Maupay (arguably) https://youtu.be/i_SAib5QZwE

TAA https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8528023/Arsenal-fans-lay-Trent-Alexander-Arnold-escaping-red-dangerous-tackle-Bukayo-Saka.html

How much more evidence is needed that there is an agenda against the team? How much more can we take as fans? We pay money to follow a team that participates in a corrupt system. It's sickening

Winston you're the ONLY one beating this drum so don't go on like it's "only a handful of arsenal fans"

When VAR is used for offsides it's not a matter of opinion, when goalline technology kicks in its not a matter of opinion, when the same foul is committed multiple times and then treated differently (in both outcome and review process) it's bollox and leaves it open to abuse

Interpretation of the law is not an opinion

You can hide behind some group scenario if you want, I'd rather discuss the actual point.

Offsides is a matter of fact.

Ball over the line is a matter of fact.

Serious foul play is opinion.

That doesn't mean that the opinion can't be qualified and it's critical that it is an informed opinion that meets guidance.

But ultimately it is an opinion.

I didn't say interpretation of the law is an opinion. I said that the judgement of a specific challenge is an opinion.

Okay, let's make this clear then.

You think TAA challenge was serious foul play.

I don't.

So on what basis can you prove that you are right and I am wrong, if indeed it is a matter of fact?

No Winston stop trying to turn it into a difference of opinion. Interpretation of the law does not boil down to one man's opinion

The entire point is consistency - if TAAs isn't serious foul play then neither is Nketiah and all the others

There's also an issue with consistency in how VAR is used, why does one warrant a 4 minute break in play and a review by the ref and the other isn't even worth a second look

I'm not changing anything.

I'm saying that judging an individual challenge and deciding whether it constitutes serious foul play is a matter of opinion.

Because it is.

That is aptly demonstrated by the fact that we may disagree about the TAA challenge and that doesn't mean that either of us are wrong.

It's either serious foul play or it isn't and it shouldn't vary from player to player or game to game

But carry on excusing our shiiite officials 🚮

Okay, you're clearly never going to understand this, and I've wasted enough time trying to help you understand as it is.

No wonder there's talk of corruption when fans blatantly don't even understand how the laws work.

Have a nice day.

Anybody who thinks the Nketiah foul is a Red Card & then the TAA foul isn’t is clearly not objective.
