He's going great guns with them at the moment isn't he?
Guendouzi leaving because Arteta doesn't know how to be the bigger man.
AMN wanting out because Arteta won't honour promises already made.
And the latest gem, Martinelli out until Jan. I wonder if it's because the passionate youngster has overdone it, half killing himself trying to get Arteta to pick him, after he got dropped for no good reason (to the team's detriment).
The 3 best youth prospects we have at the club, one of whom is actually the club's best footballer and in less than 6 months Arteta has managed to break one and have the other two wanting to leave the club. Pleased with results on the pitch but as far as I was always concerned, he just had to drop Ozil and get the team pressing again to achieve that. So it's no great coaching feat (any idiot can manage to drop the team deadweight and turn results around)..
The choices he's made surrounding the three players mentioned are what concern me. For me, he's made the wrong choice in all those cases and the outcome has been/is going to be bad for Arsenal FC, in the long run. Saka is the only one he appears to be paying any attention to and that's not good. Hope he does better by all the team's youngsters next season. They've earned it. I rate Saka highly but to put all our eggs in the one basket and sacrifice several other, is both poor form and poor coaching. Incidentally does anyone know exactly how many players from CIty's academy have made it into City's first team?

So did I, a beautiful moment between a father figure and a wayward 'son' wanting to prove himself to an idol.

He showed he can do a job at wing back. Xhaka and Ceba proved once again an effective partnership in midfield.

Because unlike the rest of you I think it will work and work well in the long run. But more importantly because it may be the case that guaranteeing him at least a half decent chance, might just be the only way we get to keep the player.
I agree with Tu Meke re him and Bellerin, so would like to keep that two sided WB thanks. Way I see it, we give him his shot, making it clear it's "Hit the ground running or it's back to RB." He either succeeds fast and it's a great move. Or he fails at it for himself and gets the bug of being further forward out of his system for good. And we get to keep the RB.
We have almost nothing to lose by trying it but could lose a huge talent by not being at least willing to. Then there's what we could stand to gain if it works as well as I think he and Arteta could make it.

We already knew he could do that job so that's no surprise to anyone. Or at least it shouldn't be. Not talking about messing with Ceb/Xhaka at this point DJ. Only an incoming transfer like Partey, should be doing that, if anything.
When I say give him his chance further forward, I mean in those lesser games where we wouldn't want to use Ceb or others. If we win FA Cup we have the cursed Thurs comp. Start him/bring him on further forward in that crap and the early league cup rounds. If he tears it up there, maybe we talk about bigger 1st team games.
Though it might seem it at times DJ, I'm not mad and am talking about doing this in a sensible, testing the waters, fashion. If Arteta needs his WB for normal 1st team games, he gets it. "Experimenting time." Is those games we would normally chuck novice youngsters into anyway. "Go play forward in them games and teach the younger ones something whilst ya there." Is about as far as I saying to go.
