I have never got to see Leeds play a match in the Premier League. Instead, I was given my footballing education in League One, against teams like Hereford, Stockport, and Yeovil. I sat through years of watching Anthony Elding, Malcolm Christie, Liam Dickinson trying to score goals. I've seen cult heroes come and go, Andrew Hughes, Jermaine Beckford, David Prutton... And, like all of us, sadly seen legends pass on, who will never get to see us back in the Premier League, Big Jack, Roll's Royce Paul, Trevor, Norman, Gary Speed...
A lot of fans of other clubs saying we will go straight back down. Aye, we very well might. Getting to watch Leeds play the best teams in the best league will still be, well, the best. We've come so far, through Bates and Blackwell, Cellino and Hockaday, through to Andrea and Victor and Marcelo. So if we do go back down, I will just be here to enjoy the season that Leeds came back, and hopefully there will be many more.
Even these last two years we have gone through Spygate, Bielsa press conferences, racism allegations, Klich throwing water and shushing benches, Covid, Jansson leaving, Ben White arriving, young, untested goalies saving us points, seasoned, experienced ones throwing them away.
But that is our way. Highs and lows come with supporting Leeds United. And we are back.
MOT.

I don't think you'll go down. You already play PL football. However you desperately need a good PL striker. Bamford doesn't cut it. Someone like Pukki as a stop gap even. Or a loan, like Abraham, considering Chelsea have signed Werner.

I think Bamford has a big part to play but needs some help up there. Need options to change things when needed.

Amusing that a 22year old who's never seen Leeds in the top flight thinks he's a bigger Leeds fan than me. Was watching Leeds win titles year's before you were a twinkle in your old man's eye.

If you were an actual Leeds fan that would matter to me. No desire to be mean-spirited to anyone today.

I’m in the same boat, never having seen Leeds in the top flight.
Got some very faint memories of some old games on TV but nothing else.
Think a striker can transform this side, I’d be confident of stopping up if Bielsa stays. We’ve already proven to be better than at least the 2 other sides that will be joining us.
The Covid situation has meant this much needed transfer window is a bit messed up, but let’s not hide behind that and attack this season head on.
Think we’ll receive a few pastings, but also spring some surprises. Can’t wait.

Lowfields - not now please of all days.
Are you not ecstatic like the rest of us?
Lubo - good article but I think we will surprise a few just like 90 - 91 and we all know what happened the season after that!
