5 at the back

After our best performance in a while do we stick with 5 at the back for Liverpool?

Personally I say yes as it seems to suit everyone, both full backs looked good, James especially had a good and composed performance, something we've not seen from him in a while. Azpilicueta is a calming influence at the back and adds an extra attacking threat and another ball winner in midfield. Zouma and rudiger could just use their pace and strength which is probably their biggest assets. Kovacic and jorginho completely controlled the midfield. Willian and Mount were non stop, mounts high press in particular. Is something we benefit from massively as a team. Giroud was just class, completely exposed maguire.

The big question for me would be surrounding kante and pulisic if fit as no one deserves to be dropped but to leave them out in such a massive game is a big call

Kante has to come in for sure,Kova looked a bit slow early on and tired later on,maybe he's carrying a knock ?

Stick with a back 5 ? I'm not so sure against Liverpool.

I fancy Chelsea to get a point on Wednesday. Liverpool will be thinking about getting their medals, trophy and post game p*55 up.

Yes I'm thinking we can get a point, they haven't looked the same since the restart and winning the title. Plus we have alot more to play for so you would hope we can out fight them

If we beat West Ham is there any situation for you in which a draw would be better than a loss anyway? Can't see one.

No. Back 4.
Horses for courses.

Frank is the most flexible and adaptable manager that we've had in the Roman era.

Understands that one formation wont necessarily work on another occasion, horses for courses basis always best.

We've competed extremely well against Liverpool three times this season in a back 4 formation.

Against Wolves we might want to match-up with back 3, just like we did to great effect at the Molineux.
