League in the world for you?
For me, it's the drama. Ok quality wise, the PL isn't the best. We don't have a single team in the PL that is on the same level as a Bayern Munich or a PSG, but what we have is the most competitive league where any season, you can't say for sure who will win the league at the beginning of the season. Any year there are at least 4-5 teams who are aiming for the title. No other Major European league can say this.
What do you think? Is the PL the best league in the world?
What makes the premier league the best

What makes the premier league the best League in the world for you?

Probably the scripts. I reckon it's now overtaken WWE as the best form of Sports Entertainment.
Although I hark back to the days when it was just a sport.

Is that the PSG who cant even make a semi final of the Champions League? They would finish 5th over here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PSG are world class. They have the best attack in world football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shame the best attack and all the money in the world can't win this superstar studded team The Champions League. They just fall apart, time and time again. Until they win that and even win it more than once with all those oil money players I'm not having it.

I didn’t say every team but here goes:
Arsenal: Aubameyang, arguably Ceballos, Tierney
Everton: Richarlison, Digne. DCL would be a perfect squad player for any top 6 club imo
Southampton: Ings, arguably Hojberg and Bednarek
Newcastle: Saint-Maximin
Palace: Zaha (last season, AWB..there’s always someone)
Brighton: none
West Ham: Haller, Felipe Anderson, Fornals, arguably Rice
Villa: Grealish
Watford: Deulofeu, Sarr. Pereyra has fallen off but a couple of seasons ago, him too.
Bournemouth: Ake, Fraser
Norwich: none
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not having that
Ings didn't make it last time he tried and i still don't think he would be starting for one of the big 6 even if he has been on fire this season.
Rice has potential but he's not there yet and i'm not even considering anyone else for West Ham, a lot of flashy players that look good in highlights.
None at Bournemouth, West Ham, Watford, Brighton, Norwich or Southampton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I could see Norwich's Buendia in a top 6 squad. Cantwell is a player you could see a Chelsea or Spurs buying with a view to developing him.
Bournemouth's Nathan Ake is linked with several top 6 clubs, including City
I could see Watford's Doucouré as a squad player in a top team.

Is this the fella that said on here that he wanted to suck off Jose?
He should shift his affections to another manager. I bet Jose tastes stale and bitter, he's well past his sell by date.

I don't really understand why Liverpool fans specifically have an issue with this article.

And yes we do have teams on the same level as PSG and Bayern.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. City have never gotten past the quarter final of the CL, Liverpool were beaten home and away by Atletico who I don't consider to be a team on Bayern Munich or PSG's level to begin with, Chelsea were battered at home by Bayern, United were then battered by Chelsea, Lester have been midtable level for the second half of this season and Tottenham aren't ready yet to compete with the best teams in Europe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City have made the semi final.
On the op, I prefer the championship to the PL tbh.

"...any season, you can't say for sure who will win the league at the beginning of the season ..."
----------------
I can remember a time when ManU won the league almost every year. Then, the brilliance of ManU was touted as the reason why the PL is the best league of the world.
When ManUs dominance ended, the PL was the best because the fight for the title wasn't decided until the last matches.
Now, when the champions are so dominant they were crowned 7 matches before the end of the season, the goalpost for the "best league in the world" is again being shifted.
