WTF?!

Sadly the likes of Kolasinac, Sokratis, Mustafi, Ozil will be hard to get off the payroll this summer due to their contracts.
Ainsley has clearly been identified as an asset that can make us money, isn't vital to the squad (in their opinion) and selling him can help us get the targets we are after.

We are selling young players with plenty of room for improvement and bringing in ageing players on big money contracts in a hope for immediate results.
AMN has always been one of those players that’s split opinions but there is no way we should be looking to cash in when there is clearly potential, which he has show signs of fulfilling this season.
To bringing in Cedric on a 4 year contract and Willian on a 3 year contract will probably cost more than any low cut fee we get for AMN. And if the signings don’t work out then just like Ozil, Kola, Mustafi, we’ll end up stuck with them, financially crippling us further.
It’s already unfortunate enough that we are going to lose Gwen who will be a top player if he sorts his attitude out (maybe he never will, who knows). It’s going to come to a stage where you can go through the Arsenal squad and fine less than a handful or players with room for improvement

DJ, we can't buy a player as good as AMN, with his experience and youth for 20 mil. You talk of funds for replacements as though we'll actually raise any lo-ball pricing our talent like that. I don't think we should sell him at all but if we do it shouldn't be for less money than we sold Iwobi for.
$40 mil, I still don't like it but OK. 20...just plain ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you talking about? I laughed at £20m for Ains.
Partey is £45m, for example. Those 3 will get comfortably more than that between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not even looking at Partey at the moment. That's not who AMN is paying for. More interested in the fact we'd be selling a young AMN, to sign an old Willian for double AMN's wages.
Come on DJ. I mean I rate Willian but that makes no sense to do. AMN's fee will be absorbed by Willian's wages and Willian will retire off the contract whilst AMN goes on to play another 3-5 years. We lose alot of money here in the long term. And only strengthen the team for one season at most, if at all, due to Willian's age.

We are not selling Ains to get Willian. That deal is already done.

=====
We have a lot of young players.
Next season we could easily field an XI of
-----------Martinez (27)-------------
Bellerin(25)--Saliba(19)--Gabriel (22)-- Tierney(23)
------Ceba (24)----Partey(27)--Saka(18)-----
Pepe(25)-------Aubameyang(31)--Martinelli(19)
That is an average age of 23.6, lots of players with room for development. That is without Smith-Rowe (20), Nketiah, Nelson, Willock etc.
Yes, on the other hand we could field
----------------Leno(28)-------------------
Cedric(28)--Luiz(33)--Mustafi(28)--Kolasinac(27)
---------Xhaka (27)---Partey(27)------------
Pepe(25)-----Willian(31)----Aubameyang(31)
------------------Lacazette(29)-----------
with an average age of 28.5.
(of course that is on the assumption we sign certain players).
I don't see a dearth of young talent with room to develop, tbh, but also see a squad with a lot of experience to help guide the youth.

Of course we are. The fact we've done the Willian bit first, doesn't mean that AMN's sale isn't to pay for it. Just that we haven't sold AMN to get the money back yet. Anyone being sold now is being sold to finance incoming transfers. That is assuming that's what ke actually spends the money raised on.

Absolute bullshiiit again.
How clueless are you about our transfer activity???
Look at our net spend over the last few years and come back with that absolute nonsense.

Over £150m net spend over the last 2 seasons, yet we still have idiots thinking Kroenke takes money from sales and gives us peanuts to spend

I think we should keep AMN simply because of his versatility and pace. He can play defence or MF , I don't think he's good enough to be first choice at either but is a great squad asset who generally doesn't let us down (apart from accusations of lateness etc this year) .
I would rather we sold Nketiah , to me he's overrated and we may get £10m to £15m for him.

Nketiah will be worth lots more than 15m in a season or two
