Browsing the bbc Europa league live text chat and saw that united scored in extra time. But what caught my eye was that it mentioned it was the TWENTY FIRST penalty they have been given this season. Like what in the actual faaaaack. Granted, I did not see if it was a legit one or not but has there ever been seen in a season that many penalties?? Is that even possible without some shoddy reffing?
After the FA cup final, I told my man utd supporting friend that I want to switch allegiance to Man Utd just so I can enjoy that kind of reffing. Because they seem to get the rub of the green so very much and this stat seems to support that. I don't think even in our swashbuckling years of 2002-2008 that we got that many penalties at all.
What do you guys think?

It's funny that you get more penalties now you are not so good isn't it. You attacked more back in the day and didn't get so many penalties as you didn't need the help. Now you need that little help and there it is.
____________
You're right - when we were winning things, nobody ever said anything about refereeing decisions going in United's favour.

Actually why I just leave this here -

There are maybe 2-3 soft ones (debatable), and one very dodgy one (Villa), so, is there a conspiracy?

Watched the first 10 6 arent pens 4 are. The funny thing is on first glance almost all looked like stonewallers. It's only when they slow down you see the dive. Whether it be leaving a trailing leg when a keepers hands are flat on the ground (Foster) leaving a trailing leg into keeper who is not going to collide with you. Barging the other player (Daniel James) the two spurs ones are pathetic and I hate spurs. The list goes on
Why are people so fooled by the acting. 21 pens is obviously not right doesn't take much to work out the players train to go down convincingly (hence why all looked like pens at first glance)
