Is anyone else concerned about the lack of movement in the transfer market?
Brendon has said he's not looking for any player over £60 million,
And the club seem to be more concerned with moving the same four players on as last season before looking at new players,
Also we seem to being linked with players who worked with brendan at celtic or didn't play last season due to injury and failing to get back into the teams,
You'd think we've just been promoted to the Premier league rather
Than looking at Europe next season,,
Wolves set them a bad example,,,,
I find this worrying as to compete on two fronts next season
We know we need 3 quality players plus 4 squad players
And most of the bench reserve players cleared out,
The board need to take a serious look at things or we will end up like last year keeping Morgan and fuchs
Most of the information I've seen has been about extending player contracts and giving pay rises,,,
And how the £1 million state of the art training ground is almost ready
That will look excellent in the championship.
And how much man. U or Chelsea will pay for chilwell 🙄
You'd think after the last 2 seasons transfer windows they would have learnt by now 🤦♂️
Transfer inactivity

Gr8 to hear from you Dubs, it's been a bit quiet around here.
I've just been waiting for something to happen, we do need to get a few players in now - as we're effectively in pre-season given the mid-September start.
What will be will be I suppose, but there may be a concern that the lack of transfer activity is down to uncertainty about finances given the position on getting/not getting the fans back.
I'll ask again if anybody has any knowledge about Yankari who doesn't appear to have posted for a while?

I think Yankari has alluded to being very busy before, even before the virus. So in a way it’s not a massive surprise not to hear from him.
As for us, we won’t be doing much business. Looking at what we really need:
- Replacement for Chilwell if he goes;
- Replacement for Iheanacho if he goes;
- Centre half, although this might be Benkovic;
- Right winger/forward, and this is where we should be looking to spend. But not on more mediocrity.
It’s a tough market right now, with players themselves probably unwilling to engage in any great upheaval. Even so, it would be good to see at least one signing in attacking areas, to freshen things up as much as anything.

I think when the Chilwell deal goes we’ll start to see some real movement. Our ability to invest is dependent on that I think.
To correct Dunge’s requirements:
- Replacement for Nacho WHEN he goes
- Top quality replacement for Gray WHEN he goes
- 2-4 good squad players able to step in for Europe. More likely to be younger and more risky signings but not super big bucks.
As for Benkovic, you will all know I had huge high hopes for him but for whatever reason it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. I fear his injury is one that he’ll never fully recover from and that’s not being communicated. I hope I’m wrong in that obviously.
Just want this boring Chilwell saga sorted now so we can start to bring in some players.

There's been more life in a dead man's pants than there has been at the KP since the end of the season (some might argue that there hasn't been much life since Christmas...)
We desperately need 4 or 5 new signings to add quality and strength to a squad that was horribly exposed towards the end of last season. We're likely going to be playing 50+ games in 8 months, we need more quality and we need more numbers but we don't seem to be progressing on any new signings.
I know I'm renowned as a Debbie Downer at the best of times but I just have no optimism or enthusiasm for next season. I put this down to:
- No transfer activity....like, at all, other than a young lad from Thailand joining our academy.
- The awful end to last season
- Blowing a golden opportunity to be back in the Champions League
- Rodgers' worrying tactical performance after the resumption
- Congerton's poor track record and our last 2 windows being decidedly uninspiring
- The overall issues with Coronavirus (no crowds, no pre season, condensed upcoming season)
I'll hopefully feel a bit more enthused once we make a signing or two....as long as it isn't accompanied on social media with the hashtag #WelcomeBennett29...

I agree Foxello. The squad needs shaking up so we go in to the new season with a new mindset.
I look forward to those signing Enthusing us. The sooner the better!

I don't think there's a massive amount going on anywhere yet, apart from behind the scenes work I'm not sure why they don't just make the transfer window about 2 days.
This will stop the boredom for a few minutes, Great Photos and memories.

I think Chelsea are taking their time and thinking about this one after hearing the same chortling sounds at the other end of the phone as they heard when their offer for Drinkwater was accepted.
