But that is nonsense. Just because the BBC article alludes to it in the weakest way possible doesn't make it any more true.

He clearly loves playing with Di Maria and Mbappe, and they clearly love playing with him... Not the sign of a selfish player.

As I said, he seems to get as much enjoyment out of an assist as a goal.

oh, and i do accept that this is ignoring a) the difference in the position that they both play and b) the difference in quality between their teammates.

but i still find it hard to accept that someone who is averaging better than an assist every other game - ie if he played the entire PL season that would be record breaking form every season - is selfish.

Neymar is a legendary player. After his heroics in the comeback against PSG when he was a Barca player cemented his legacy. He has this unique ability to carry a team. He’s not as good a finisher as either Messi or Ronaldo which counts against him, but compared to other attackers he is pretty good at scoring. However his all round game is exceptional. It’s a shame he is playing in France, but with the sort of money on offer, he was right to to go.

Hopefully he’ll get his CL and go play in a proper league next season.

I love Neymar. I don’t get how people cannot like him. He’s the most entertaining player in the world.

Exactly! There’s nothing better to watch in football than a Brazilian flair player in full flight. If you cannot love that you don’t love football, as far as I am concerned.

Neymars world goal of the season was sublime and one of the greatest goals I've ever seen.

Even in street football that'd be insane technique and skill bit doing it at a high level, at speed....wow.....even attempting/thinking about it shows he sees and can do things few others can.
