Bayern

Watching them cruising against Lyon.
One attribute that is not spoken enough about this German machine is the physicality they have to go with their undoubted technical abilities.

You won’t find the silky, skill set of a petite David Silva or Bernardo Silva of a Pep side; these are replaced by the running power of Goretzka and the stocky, ball playing presence of Thiago. Muller, lanky as he is can run a half marathon on those spindly legs.

Bayern keep possession well but play the long ball as an effective tactical variation.

I like their model.

By the way, the more I see Gnabry, the more I question how Pulis got his coaching badges.

Gnabry does seem an incredibly annoying oversight by us. But maybe if he had stayed here he wouldn’t have reached the level he’s at now, some players just don’t flourish in a certain league or country. You see it quite a lot.

When he was here he looked talented but it wasn’t like he wasn’t an outstanding player. We should have given him a bit more a chance, but he could have easily gone down an iwobi kind of route if he stayed. So maybe it was just never to be for him in the premiership at that time

What a difference an Aouar will make to Arteta’s side.

Partey, Xhaka Aouar. One can dream.

=====
He was an outstanding player for his age. He was 17 and 18 when he actually played for us, then missed 2 years with injuries, Pulis and depression. Then he left.
The only reason there was doubt over him being a very good player was injuries.

Yep, he was playing well before the injuries set in. That baseball hat wearing clown then extended his misery in the Black Country.
