So far, so good!

Encouraging results pre-season, although the opposition was not real quality until today. On the highlights of the Bradford game shown on U-tube, the defence seemed a little easy to slice open.
Bursik might be a really good loan signing, but one has to feel a little sorry for Jones.
However, we need more bodies - I do not think we can fill a bench at the moment.
The DFP says SkySports has cut a deal allowing showing of games on iFollow like I can get over here, and also it may mean I can see some cup games that were not available last season.
I've signed up for a free 7-day trial on a streaming service that will allow me to watch the Champions League Final tomorrow - should be a great, high scoring, game

Time is not on our side. The Blackburn game will be like another warm-up, but a decidedly high-temperature one where our chances of a win are slim indeed. Being under-strength adds to the challenge and it will be important to get in at least 3 more players ASAP, possibly one or more of the Wolves loanees, but perhaps not Sheaf who did not seem at all consistent. I share the hope that not only Jones, but also Amos and the other academy graduates will get more of a chance this season. I have seen Bursik in action on YouTube In Accrington’s high-scoring matches vs Bolton, Tranmere and Lincoln; I will just say that had Dieng been there instead, there would not have been as many goals!

We have not heard much about strikers and I tend to believe that we are unlikely to be able to afford anyone else ready-made. I am encouraged by Okenabirhie’s performances and we must be hopeful of Lokilo too. With Taylor and Copps as the providers we might now just have a combination that will deliver the goals.

One cannot blame the bookmakers for classifying us as mid-tablers behind last season’s near misses plus Sunderland and the Championship relegatees, although I do resent being below Bristol Rovers! History shows though that success in L1 cannot be easily bought - last season this was particularly evident - so perhaps using last year’s experience DM will take us into real contention.

Its going to be a tough season for us. Id agree with the bookies on mid table but might be pushing for top 6 at some point. However its going to be even tougher for quite a few other teams in the league. I wouldnt be surprised to see a handful fold before the end of the season ,including Charlton!

I'm quite hopeful for the season. It's such strange times and difficult to predict but my gut feel is that we will be pushing for top 6.
