Apparently its a done deal on a 4/5 year contract. Now he's free, a good age and can't imagine he's on huge wages but is he any good? Can't pretend I've seen much of him so if anyone has please let me know. What sort of CB is he, any chance of playing in the first team or is he going to be added to the loan army to turn a profit or be back up for the squad.

Is this the new djilobodji/hector?

He’s only 21 and has been pretty much regular for Nice (Ligue 1) since he was 17, it is not quite like Djilobodji/Hector as there is actually some chance he could actually be gold enough one day. Apparently he’s leaving on a free because he wants massive wage demands Nice are unwilling to give him. Young, decent potential, left footed CB on a free (if high wages), why not.

Another signing? 🤔🤔🤔

I hadn't heard about him either do I did a bit of research last night and kunta Kante sums it up pretty well, apparently several clubs were tracking him including Barcelona. He has played 100 games for Nice, he's 21 and a free agent so it seems like a good deal. Some claims he will go on loan, I think he'll be in the squad. There are YouTube clips, yeah we all know how reliable they can be but if nothing else, you cannot fail to notice his distribution, he tackles hard but his passing can be sublime. Sky are starting to mention him along with Havertz, Silva and Chilwell now. I think he would complement Silva and learn from him.

If he signs, one for the loan army methinks. One for the low risk, high regard category.
Provided that he progresses on-loan, can challenge for a spot in the future.
If he doesn't...move him on, easy sale and profit. Win-win.
The one thing that Sarr has going for him is that he's a left-footed CB and that is a pressing requirement at present...

Maybe that one thing that has been overlooked...is Sarr' ability to play at LB, might be a backup/competition to Chilwell at LB (Sarr has alternated between LB and CB).
The future of Alonso & Emerson, will give us a better indication...

Agreed, I also am not sure that he would sign if he thought he'd be loaned out, he has played 100 games for Nice, he was offered a new contract but chose to run out his contract and make himself available for free, he is Bering tracked by a number of clubs and I suspect he wouldn't be willing to be signed for a loan spell.

Yeah pretty much, although unlike them nerds actually know who this guy is
You can count the people who can play natural libero on FM with one hand & he's one of them. Legendary player

Jokes aside Chelsea actually turned a nice profit from selling djilobodji. It’s deals like these that goes a long way allowing the club to make those big transfers. Clever dealings.
