Two ways of looking at this harle, with your heart and then your head.

The heart says he's a diamond of a footballer, one of the nicest guys to kick a football in recent times and I'd be devastated to see leave.

On the other hand the head says he's 29 now, has been picking up injuries regularly but still has a high value in the transfer market.

It might not be the worst thing in the world if we accepted 60/70m for him as we have many excellent youngsters coming through in that position. Gilmour, Ampadu, Gallagher can all play there and even Reece James ended up there during his loan at at Wigan!

I don't think it'll be this summer, but next year (maybe January) we'll have to make a decision to sell either Jorginho or Kante. Both top players who stylistically can't co-exist in the same team without one compromising his natural game, and sooner or later Lampard will have to settle on one primary style of play (with freedom for fluidity within it).

Personally I'd sell Jorginho just because Gilmour looked SO good in his few appearances last season & Kante does have certain qualities none of our other midfielders have, but I'd fully understand the other side of the argument too.

The sudden disappearance of Zouma is a mystery.
Trained with the squad from the beginning, wasn't in the squad today.
Maybe picked up an injury in training, but nothing mentioned by Frank post-match.

Anyway was nice to see the appearance of Clarke-Salter, paired up with Christensen at this level.
