Just like the UEFA Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup, this is a meaningless event and ok par with the Emirates Cup. Yet, if pool had won, their fans would have acted very differently.

Desperate to compare him to Phil Jones.

Jones is always injured and utterly crap when he plays. Keota is always injured but brilliant when he plays. There's a difference.

So a competition played between cup winners is just a friendly? Guess your world club cup was a friendly too?

Lost our charity shield? When did we have it?

Also the charity shield is a friendly. The FA classify it as a non-competitive game which is why you can make 6 subs instead of the usual 3.

European Super cup and CWC are worth millions in prize money as well.
