20/21 predictions?

A week away from kick off in the new PL season.

With the transfer window open for another month there may be significant activity that will change opinion, but as it stands who will win the title, who gets CL and who goes down?

For me :
Champions - Liverpool.
Not convinced at all by City's defence, and they have to replace David Silva - a lot of expectation on Foden and Bernardo Silva. Aguero also needs an injury free season. Don't see Liverpool hitting close to 100 this time, but they have enough to seal back to back titles

Top 4 - Liverpool, City, Man Utd, Arsenal
Yes, I put my own team ahead of Chelsea. While Chelsea have spent big they haven't addressed the defensive issues well. A lot of pressure on a lot of new attackers to gel quickly too. Arsenal have a young squad but Arteta has steadied the ship, has created a defined style and is getting the right players into the system. Spurs will be in the fight as well, but I think Wolves and Leicester will find it harder this season. 66 points won't be enough for 5th never mind 3rd.

Relegation
The fun bit. Who will go down?
The boing boing Baggies is my first pick. They should have blown automatic promotion and relied on Brentford blowing up. Squad doesn't look PL quality
In a bad article for the West, the Hammers are going into the season with the sort of negative PR that precedes relegation. Having your captain declare he is angry and sad over the sale of a reserve team player doesn't bode well. On paper they have a lot of attacking ability but Haller, Anderson, Yarmelenko, Fornals etc haven't lived up to their rep.
Aston Villa just about survived last season, and are yet to lose captain and star man Grealish. However, I think their striker issues will be costly this year. Leeds and Fulham to survive.

What are your opinions?

How ironic

It is pathetic. You're looking for any and every reason to put Chelsea down.

I do suspect Roman will have higher expectations of Lampard than the fans, in fairness. Whether that’s to challenge for the league or not I’m not sure. But he is a man that wants his club to win. If Chelsea aren’t even close it won’t be a surprise if Lampard’s replaced with a top coach.

He isn’t renowned for being a patient man.

I don’t expect that to change with Lampard, particularly given this summer’s outlay.

Yeah any more than 12 points off and questions should definitely be asked. I think any improvement and signs that we are pushing forward Lampard will be fine. Still see pool running away with it

Yeah that’s how I feel.

Two years at Chelsea is plenty of time to prove he’s up to the job. If there aren’t better signs of this next season I don’t see Roman keeping him on just because he’s Lampard.

Plenty of top coaches would love to manage this group of players. I think they’ll have an easier time attracting the top attacking managers now they no longer have a team that is built for parking the bus.

Wel there were signs last year. Got through group stages of cl, fa cup final and top 4 with an injured and base squad. And not a very good one.
